If you're planning a wedding at Sleepy Ridge in Orem, Utah, you already know the venue is breathtaking—with its manicured grounds, dreamy mountain views, and elegant indoor spaces. As a Sleepy Ridge wedding florist, I’ve had the honor of designing flowers for many weddings here, and I know exactly which floral elements make the biggest impact at this beloved Utah venue.
Whether you're going for lush garden romance florals or a modern twist on classic elegance, this guide walks you through the must-have floral pieces for a Sleepy Ridge wedding—plus insider tips to help you get the most out of your floral investment.
Let’s begin with the people closest to you. These are typically the first items on most people's list:

Personal flowers are a thoughtful way to show your family and friends how much you appreciate them. These pieces help set them apart from the crowd and act as a meaningful gift to thank them for standing by your side on your big day. Plus, they add a beautiful, cohesive touch to your overall floral story and photograph beautifully in the natural light at Sleepy Ridge.
Most Sleepy Ridge couples choose to get married in the garden area beneath the gazebo during the summer months—and for winter weddings, the ceremony often takes place indoors in front of the fireplace mantel. Either way, the floral setup varies based on your vision.

Tip for reusing ceremony flowers: While reusing flowers from the gazebo is difficult—since they’re typically built around the structure and don’t always translate well to a different setting—other ceremony flowers are much more versatile. Ground aisle arrangements can often be moved to the reception and placed near the piano or DJ, by the cake, or in front of the sweetheart table. Pedestal arrangements work similarly and are easy to relocate. Floral bundles tied to chairs can be repurposed into a garland for the sweetheart table or cake display, or even used as simple centerpieces. And don’t forget about your bridesmaids’ bouquets—if they’re full enough, they make lovely reception table flowers too.
Sleepy Ridge has two indoor event spaces—the Garden Room and the Sunset Room—each with a gorgeous fireplace mantel that many couples use as a ceremony backdrop or as a statement floral feature during the reception.

Tip for high guest count weddings: If you have more than 10 tables, centerpieces can quickly become one of the biggest line items on your floral quote. One of the best ways to manage this is to mix centerpiece styles—do lush, full centerpieces on half or a third of the tables, and more minimalist or budget-friendly options on the rest. Sleepy Ridge uses 60" round tables that typically seat 8–10 guests, and they can accommodate up to 250 guests—so plan accordingly when estimating how many centerpieces you'll need.

I always recommend focusing your floral budget on the areas that will be most photographed—your bouquet, the ceremony backdrop, and your reception focal points like the mantel and head table. From there, we can build a cohesive design that brings the whole space to life.
